Pastoral Care Ministry

The Pastoral Care Ministry is an extension of the Pastor in caring for his people. This Team provides hope, caring, and love to our church family and community so that no one feels alone or forgotten when in need. We are dedicated to serving as Christ served with visiting those in the hospitals, home bound, or in nursing/rehabilitation center, supporting those going through a life crisis, maintaining contact with those unable to attend church, supporting ones involved in Caregiving, and comforting the bereaved. Being the hands and feet of Jesus, showing love through conversation, bible study, prayers, and communion demonstrates that this ministry is truly dedicated to being disciples of Jesus wherever needed. Other aspects of the Pastoral Care Ministry include a Prayer chain, prayer intercessors for our services as well as a group that meets during the week to pray for specific needs, meals provided for after surgery, and “concerned about you” cards and phone calls. The selected team members of this ministry are “living reminders of Jesus” as we reach out to others in Christian love during times of weakness and need.

“Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:40 (CSB)
